As our last fully delivered project prior the covid-19 brick wall, Proluxon is proud of this collaboration with Gentilhomme Studios and Tribe Design, providing various expertise for them to achieve their design in the most flawless way. Our main tasks where to oversee set design & logistic and video creation technical guidelines in order to ensure design integrity and synchronization within the project technical/logistic parameters. We also provided an optimized Wysiwyg master file including full rigging, LX & VDO tour design and FOB set integration.

This was a hugely fulfilling project and it was an enormous pleasure working with the band and all the collaborators who helped make it happen.

After a series of covid setbacks, this Stadium Tour has finally hit the road in summer 2021 and will continue its ongoing world travel starting summer 2022.

This 30-minute video mapped multi media spectacle celebrates the many facets that make up Campeche. Past present and future converge as we pay homage to the beauty, history, culture, and people of a region so unique it deserves to be shared.

The canvas for the spectacle is the 80-meter long by 12-meter high facade of the Biblioteca in the heart of the historical district of Campeche, a Unesco World Heritage site. The permanent installation plays several times a week, free for all to enjoy on the town’s main square. Our goal on this yearlong journey was to deliver a spectacle that went beyond the expected highlighting of historical facts in chronological order narrated by a voiceover. Instead we embraced the challenge to create a spectacle that can be considered a mural of moving imagery that pays homage to all the elements that make Campeche such a unique place, and also properly represent the spirit of the Campechano people.

The project was funded by the Secretary of Public Works of Campeche State, and was developed within the framework of the restoration of the historical City Hall, Customs Building and Library in downtown Campeche. Under guidance of Nol van Genuchten, Creative KAOS Management was responsible for the overall Creative Direction of the project: Writing the storyline, as well as the artistic direction of the video content and musical score. Creative KAOS Management managed to deliver the project Turn-Key as Proluxon in carrying the workload for the technical system design, audio design, systems integration, show control, and supplying all the equipment for the project.

Our partner 4U2C produced the video content. 20K collaborated on the execution of the audio design. Vincent Lettelier aka Freeworm signed the score. Solotech was the equipment vendor via Proluxon. Creative KAOS Management & Proluxon worked in close collaboration with Producer Elias Cisneros from 333Luxes, as well as local and state representatives, developing a spectacle that is both modern and current, yet also properly reflects the culture and spirit of the local community. Thanks to the hard work of all our collaborators, and based on the audience’s feedback, we truly feel we succeeded in delivering a unique experience.

"Can you light an entire hillside neighborhood of one of the most unique and colorfull cities in South America?" was the question we got approached with.

For 7Up's Light it Up commercial, Samir Malal and Pamela Schneider envisioned Tiesto trwowing an all night block party for wich the lighting of the entire village would be controllable. That sounded like a challenge we are perfectly suited for.

Beyond the technical and logistical challenges this project brought, it was above all a wonderful adventure. We'll never forget to hospitality shown by the people of Valparaiso. We were welcomed with open arms in people's houses, living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and pulled miles of cable over rooftops, balconies and back alleys.

Tiesto played very generousely from dusk till dawn. And when all was said and done, the previousely decrepit performance space was given back to the neighborhood as a park.

Cirque du Soleil offered us the opportunity to create the 4th edition of the Chemins Invisibles project in Quebec City. A seaonal outdoor spectacle performing nightly to aproximately 5000 people in Quebec City's St Roch district for the duration of the summer momths; 5 nights a week for a total of aproximately 50 performances.

Pamela Schneider directed the show and formed the core creative team together with James Lavoie and Nol van Genuchten, taking responsibilty for conceptualising and writing the show. As a team, Creative KAOS Management & Proluxon was responsible for the Lighting Design, Lighting Project Management and Programming, and co-signed the Production Design in collaboration with James Lavoie.

A truly memorable project, not only for it's fantastic collaborators, but also because of its unique public setting and free and open admission to the public.

Der Ring des Nibelungen - 3 years of opera in the same wysiwyg file!

The adventure of Wagner's opera "Der Ring des Nibelungen" is now over for us, delivering the fourth and final act of this work to the New York Metropolitan Opera last January. Four operas over two years, more than seventeen hours of show preprogrammed and visualized in Wysiwyg. It's more than 2000h of work in 3 years, including 8 weeks in the studio, 8 weeks in pre-production / rehearsals and 14 weeks in the Met for delivery! A project unique in its scope for the people of Ex Machina, the MET and ourselves.

It was in February 2009 that the lighting designer Étienne Boucher approached us to assist him in the most massive and ambitious production in MET's history. We knew there would not be a lot of on-site programming time. Very tight and precise schedules, changes of different operas every day through which we had to insert for rehearsals. This is the kind of challenge in which Proluxon jumps on foot!

Due to the complexities of time, and the uniqueness of the working procedures at the MET, we have had intensive use of Wysiwyg from Cast Software. This is the only software that could save us time while providing us with the necessary tools and essential for this type of project, allowing us to arrive on stage ready for rehearsals without any programming time and / or concept .

It was a unique and exciting adventure for all Proluxon employees who participated. We have gained unparalleled work experience and we are privileged by the trust that Etienne Boucher and Ex Machina have put in us. We wish long life to this massive project and hope that one day such a chance will be represented to us to push the limits of the possible!

Biography

Valy Tremblay

Valy Tremblay

Founder - Production Director

“As technologies related to our industry were becoming increasingly complex, I realized that it was becoming proportionally difficult for for the majority of the involved parties to follow their fast evolution. - The Designers’ goal being to use these technologies beyond aiming at an in‐depth comprehension of the equipment. I thus directed my efforts towards the development of specialized resources and knowledge in order to provide high‐level support for visual designers"

Production Manager, Technical Director, Systems Integrator, Stage Manager and Console Operator, Valy has acquired his significant experience and expertise in production‐, technical-, an lighting project management through event's concert's and shows all around the globe, and this for more then 35 years now. He has toured and performed with several internationally acclaimed dance, theatre, music and variety performances of various shapes and sizes.

His passion for show‐control and integration of new technologies pushed him in 1999 to launch PROLUXON. A Studio focussed on 3D Pre‐Visualization and Visual Designer Support for the live entertainment industry. PROLUXON has evolved over the years as an industry leader in its field, renowned for its high level of expertise and attention to detail, thus allowing designers to not only dream up their ideas, but most importantly providing them with a framework and support structure to see their wildest dreams realized.

After all these years, he still embraces new creative and technical challenges with same enthusiasm and passion that he had at the beginning of his career!

Patrick Bourré

Patrick Bourré

Operations Director

Close to a stage, he is completely at ease! Indeed, after more than 1000 shows performed all over Quebec, with a guitar in his hands Patrick soon noticed that he appreciated being behind scene equally to performing in front of a public. A graduate from Marie-Victorin College in 1994 with a Theatre Production degree, he initially focused on sound, only gradually developing an immense fascination for lighting and video. Thus, he acquired a great versatility and an incomparable professionalism in all fields of the staging business.

Very proud to be part of PROLUXON’s team since 2006, Patrick works as Operations Director for Proluxon.
